Urmila - Younger Sister Of Sita
WIFE OF LAKSHMAN
Lord sita is the wife of beloved Ram. As ramayana it is that urmila is the younger sister of Sita. Janak Maharaj is the father of their daughter. Their mother sunaina died at very young age. Her father took care of their children. As sita was the elder in the family it was her responsibility to take care her younger daughter. She was like a mother to urmila. Godess sita was very adventurous and openhearted person whereas Urmila is gentle and soft hearted person. Urmila was so sweet she is do all household works and never interfered in outside world ,but whereas sita used to learn archery skills. As years passed her father was unable to take care of kingdom so he divided the works ,Sita took care of external works whereas urmila took care of internal work of kingdom. As later Sita married ram through when ram lifted up the bow and broke it calling it as heroic moment that when sita was impressed by Lord Ram. And sita went with Garland, and declared that she will marry Ram.
As on the same occasion Ram had come with Lakshmana and seeing this Janak Maharaj was impressed by the values of Lakshamana and later Janak Maharaj had a discussion with Dashrata Maharaj and arranged Her younger daughter urmila and Lakshman to marry .After few months their wedding took place with a lot precious diamonds. As in the early marrige she was so happy to have a husband who loved her unconditionally. As a child she never got a love of mother .But after marriage she had three mother in law who loved her unconditionally as like a daughter .
But later all things came to end , With tears in his eyes Lakshmana informed that Ram has been declared to exile to forest for 14 years. And also he told that he will go along with Ram for Vanvas. Urmila had tears and was devastated when she came to know about this .Few days later when Lakshmana ,Ram and sita were ready to exile . Urmila eyes were dry and she was sad. She promised to take care of their parents. Lakshmana was leaving his parents Urmila's hand.
Urmila played a minor role in Ramayana but her sacrifice was unparalleled.
