Goddess Devi Sati

 SATI IMMOLATION 

 Sati ,Lord Shiva's first wife in vedic literature. Sati was also called as Rudramati .In sanskrit literature sati used to live with her beloved husband shiva in Himalayas. According to certain believes Sati is a hindu Goddess Of Martial Felicity And longevity. People believe that she remarried Lord Shiva by taking the avatar of Parvati. Sati is known for immorality herself in the sacrificed Fire. King Daksha and her wife parsuti wished to have a daughter so they asked Brahma for a solution. Lord Brahma told them that they should pray to goddess Adi Prashakti  by meditating on the middle of woods towards the Goddess .They did exact the same thing with so much dedication that Adi Parshakti was impressed by couple dedication towards her. So she appeared with unumberable weapons in her hands . The couple ask goddess that we put desire to have a sweet little daughter. As Lord Adi Prashakti was pleased by their devotion so she blessed them to have a daughter by a human birth, the avatar of Adi Parshakti. Letter a father named her as Dakshayani 

Her grandfather wished that her grand daughter would marry Lord Shiva. Sati observed Shiva and intensely fell for him and later she was so much in love that she decided to marry him no matter what. As that's why she rejected the other proposals .Dakshayani knew that the only way to win lord shiva by meditating ,fasting and chanting mantra the continue to meditate even after so many Harsh weather conditions. 

Then Shiva appeared he was Was happy with her commitment and he agreed to marry her Lord Shiva had immense love for her wife. She agreed to marry him even after knowing that her father was against this marriage This marriage had cause hatred towards her father After few days of the marriage a father had arranged for Yagna but he did not invite his daughter and her husband when Sati came to know about this she felt very upset and sad but she thought to give a visit to her father's house with her husband .Lord Shiva refused to accompany her and also gave the order that she should not go there but she does obeyed his order and went to visit her father. When Daksha saw her daughter there he was very angry and Furious that he made it clear to everybody that  they were not invited and he continued to humulate her and her husband Sati could not bad this insult anymore and said that if she inside for anymore she would dispear and will go back her  original form  and will never come back. As per the promise. As than she immolated herself in the fire born and turned into ashes .

This news reached lord shiva ears and made him super angry , he than carried her wife charred body on her shoulder and began to dance of destruction.As he danced Devi sati body parts fell down on earth and become sacred places ,sakti peethas  where Goddess is worshipped.
